BSC... be your best!
The Ballarat Swimming Club (BSC) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide members opportunity for competitive swimming in a socially inclusive environment.
With members residing in many local communities across the Ballarat and surrounding area, BSC is motivated to provide a broad and inclusive swimming experience, engaging with the whole of our community, from the very young right through to the elderly, residents and visitors alike.
We achieve this by fostering an accessible, family friendly environment, supportive and encouraging of swimmers and their families who sacrifice much time and effort to achieve personal development.
We aim to not only develop the swimmer but also provide an environment that encourages an enjoyment of sport and that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle.
Swimmers are encouraged to set goals and to organise their time, with some of our swimmers having achieved excellence at National level, and our club is proud of these achievements. Just as importantly, we recognise and celebrate every swimmer’s achievements, believing swimming needs to be enjoyed. Every swimmer who puts in effort is deserving of support and praise.
For school age children, our training environment promotes many outstanding values that are relevant to all facets of their current and future lives; commitment, discipline, time management, motivation and most importantly, enjoyment.
BSC has a vision for significant sustainable growth where our membership increasingly represents our cultural and diverse population, with members encouraged to ‘be your best’, in a healthy, disciplined and industrious environment.
Our club invites prospective swimmers along to view our training sessions and welcomes any enquires.
Our committee meets monthly and governs the club under the broad headings of Coaching & Competitions, Membership & Benefits, Partnerships & Supporters and Social Events.
