Massive Congratulations to our BSC Legend Administrator Wendy Mathews who not only is the Treasurer for BSC but is also the MDASA treasurer and last night was awarded the MDASA Administration Award for 2023-24.
Wendy is the embodiment of what volunteering is about. Wendy is a single parent, works full time and juggles medical issues at times, yet despite this she has found time in her life to devote a big chunk of her week as BSC Treasurer, and more recently MDASA treasurer.
Wendy came on board at the 2018 BSC AGM, and it is not an exaggeration to say that she has saved the finances of the club. She has implemented transparent accounting practices, manages the pays and superannuation and keeps us to a tight budget.
In 2023, MDASA’s financial records were in disarray, and despite knowing that she really didn’t have the time, Wendy stepped up and digitalised all of the MDASA finances. This meant a considerable amount of time in converting the finances from how they had been previously managed, so that MDASA meets its financial requirements.
Congratulations Wendy thoroughly deserved.
